The study looked at the various academic opportunities provided by the resource centres that helped Literacy Education Programme in the Local Government Area. The opportunities included the one provided by ICT Computer Facilities Libraries etc. The population of the study included all the schools with resources centres within Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State. Due to a large number of the population involved a sample of one hundred respondents was made. The ten schools selected at random technique to select ten teachers each. The research questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection, questionnaire methods and oral interview. The data collected were analysed with a person moment correlation. The results proved that there is a significant relationship between the use of the library and promotion of a literacy programme. It also exists between the ability of the learners to access the computer-assisted instrument as the promotion of literacy programme. It exists also between the obstacles in the utilization of resources materials and the promotion of literacy programme in Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State.
