The details of the waybill are filled out in a form such as the contents of the package, the sender and receiver contact information, the delivery address, etc. The following problems were identified in the current system as operated by Abex Courier Services there are often cases of discrepancy in the quantity, quality and overall content of items delivered to a client. Senders of waybill are unable to determine if their waybill has been delivered successfully as there is no unique identifier or feedback mechanism for deliveries. The aim of this study is to develop a system that generates unique codes for every delivery which captures the accurate description of the items contained and can be used to verify waybill items. In achieving this aim, the following objectives will be achieved through the design of a system that enables users to verify waybill receipts during deliveries to confirm the contents of the package. Provides the packaging unit of the courier service with the exact contents and description of a particular waybill. Enables waybill senders to verify if their parcel has been successfully delivered using their unique waybill code. Enables customers to verify the contents of their waybill before receipt using their unique identification code. The new system when completed and implemented will enable Abex courier services, similar organizations, and their customers to track and verify the content and status of their parcels. Thus build confidence in their customers which will, in turn, attract more customers to them and increase the profit base.
