The study specifically focused on determining the influence of class size on the teaching and learning of computer science, influence of instructional materials, influence of professional training and experience of teachers and the influence of teaching style on the teaching and learning of computer science in secondary school in Makurdi. Relevant literatures were reviewed on this concept and a survey research design was employed to collect data from primary sources using a research questionnaire in which 384 respondents including both students and teachers of computer science were used. The data collected were subjected to statistical analysis using descriptive statistics. The result of this analysis summarized that all these factors listed above are problems affecting the teaching and learning of computer science in the study area. The study concluded that the teaching and learning of computer science are affected by class size, instructional material, qualification and professional training of teachers and the teaching and communication style of teachers.
