Abstract
This study examined the Leadership Development Programs and their Impact on Job Performance among Health Information Management professionals in the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State.  A descriptive survey design was adopted for this study. The population of the study involved 63 targeted Health Information professionals. Complete enumeration was used in place of sample size for the study. This is because of the minimal population of the research subject, which prevented the researcher from adopting any of the sampling methods. Frequency distribution and simple percentage were employed for data presentation and analysis. Findings of the study found a strong positive perception of leadership development programs among 92.1% of the respondents. The majority 87.3%, agreed that these programs are crucial for career advancement, enhancing professional skills, providing valuable networking opportunities, and offering relevant content. However, major barriers to effective leadership development include limited funding, lack of time, insufficient employer support, inadequate geographic access, and a scarcity of tailored programs. 100% of respondents indicated that leadership development programs positively impact job performance for Health Information Professionals, enhancing decision-making skills, preparation for higher-level roles, problem-solving abilities, and job satisfaction.  The study recommends that: hospital administration should allocate more funds to support leadership development programs. This could include budgeting for program fees and travel expenses. The head of the department should create flexible schedules that allow staff to participate in leadership development programs without compromising their regular duties. This could involve providing dedicated time during work hours for training....
