Social vices such as cultism, drug abuse, examination malpractice, and cybercrime were examined for their causes, prevalence, and impact on academic performance. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 200 students and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests. Findings revealed that social vices are prevalent and influenced by factors such as peer pressure, media exposure, and financial hardship. These vices have a negative impact on academic performance. While some institutional interventions exist, most respondents believe they are inadequate. Based on the findings, the study recommends stronger disciplinary policies, enhanced guidance and counseling, and increased stakeholder involvement.
