The rapid advancement of AI technologies has transformed the way administrative tasks are performed, enabling organizations to automate routine processes, improve decision-making, and enhance overall efficiency. In the Nigerian context, administrative departments in both private and public organizations are increasingly exploring AI applications to streamline workflow, reduce errors, and optimize resource utilization. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. Data were collected from administrative staff across selected organizations using a structured questionnaire. The population of the study consisted of employees involved in administrative functions, while a simple random sampling technique was used to select respondents. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency tables, percentages, and mean scores, while relevant hypotheses were tested using inferential statistical methods. Findings from the study revealed that AI significantly influences administrative work processes by automating repetitive tasks, improving accuracy, and enhancing productivity. The results also indicated that AI reduces the workload on administrative staff, allows for faster decision-making, and minimizes human error. However, challenges such as high implementation costs, lack of skilled personnel, and resistance to technological change were identified as barriers to effective AI adoption. The study concluded that AI has a substantial positive impact on administrative work processes and can serve as a strategic tool for organizational efficiency when effectively implemented.
