The historical background was discussed. This project also talks about regulation and supervision in Nigeria, financial regulations, deregulation of the banking industry, implementation and monitoring of regulations framework, the effect of regulation on economic development. The method of data collection and statistical method was seen in chapter three. The questionnaire began with personal data of all respondents followed by specific question based on the hypothesis. Conclusively in the monetary authority has intervened extensively in the Nigeria Banking Industry.
