This research examines"The Impact of Effective Fund Management on Local Government Performance" (A study of Bida Local Government Area Council). The main objective of the study is to examine how funds are managed in local government, to examine the financial arrangement relevant to Nigeria's local government with special reference. Data were collected through both primary and secondary source, questionnaires were administered in order to collect the relevant information needed for this research work. The researcher observed that financial control is not too effective in Bida local government. It is therefore recommended that officials who are found guilty of financial misappropriate should be dealt with accordingly, qualified and trained personnel should be employed to manage the funds of local government. ...
