The study was carried out in some selected senior secondary school in Gwale local government area of Kano state. A sample of one hundred and sixty (160) students made up of fifty one (51) males, and 109 females of SS II students who offer Biology in Gwale local government area. Intact class was used and two groups were randomly assigned as experimental project-based learning and control conventional method.The design of this study was quasi-experimental. Five research questions and five hypotheses guided this study. Instruments used for data collection was the performance test in Biology, they were validated by experts in curriculum studies, measurement and evaluations. They instrument was a trial testing to estimates the internal five research questions consistency of instrument guided the study were answered using mean and standard deviation, while the five hypotheses were tested using analysis of covariance.
