Abstract
Workers have crucial roles to play in order to ensure that organizations attain a competitive advantage over competitors across the globe. The specific objective of this study examines the relationship between recruitment and selection processes on workers' performance in Niger State water board investigate the effect of selection process in Niger State water board. The study employed the survey design and questionnaire was used for data collection. A test-re–test reliability method was applied to ascertain the reliability of the instrument and the result showed an acceptable reliability coefficient. Data were presented using tables, frequencies and percentages while the research hypotheses were tested using independent T-test analytical tool, aided by statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). It was found that the recruitment and selection process laid down but  not rigidly followed The study, therefore, recommends that proper training programme should be arranged for personnel irrespective of their post to enhance their potentials on workers' performance. ...
