Abstract
This work is the relationship between rural development and industrialization in Nigeria. It is argued here that the two are twin strikers in the wheel of national development. However, past policies from the colonial to the post-colonial state have not duly acknowledged this. It is held that until there is a radical break from this tradition, Nigeria will continue to wallow in the shallow of underdevelopment. This research work summarizes the importance of government policies on rural industrialization, impact on Nigeria cooperative development under a case study of some selected cooperatives in Ahiazu Mbaise L.G.A Imo State in four chapters. Chapter one deals with the introduction, general overview of the study, objective of the study, research question, limitations of the study, statement of the problems and definition of terms. Chapter two deal with reviewing related literature about the topic. Chapter three deals with research design, method of data collection, sample size, sample techniques and validity and reliability of the study. Chapter four deals with the presentation of data, analysis of data and interpretation of results and finally chapter five deals with the conclusion and recommendation of the research work. ...
