Effect of labour management relations on worker’s performance

The main objective of this study is to examine the effect of labour management relations on worker’s performance. A case study of Nasarawa State Civil Service Commission. For the purpose of this study, a survey design methodology was adopted. Data were collected from primary sources vide administration of questionnaire on respondents while secondary data were collected from the organization’s records fully documented, print media (news dailies, journals, textbooks and the internet). Frequency distribution and simple percentages served as the main statistical tools employed in analyzing the data.  Findings from the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between labour management relations and worker’s performance. Findings from the study also revealed that there is a need for workers to participate in decision making and that workers to participate in decision making would give them a sense of belonging. The study recommends as follows: Workers should be given the opportunity to participate in decision making, so as to give them a sense of belonging and enhance their performance. Opinions should be sort from the employees before decisions are taken since they spend most of their time working for the organization.    ...
