Noise is measured in decibel db. It has a threshold limit value of 85dB. Noise is produced as a result of human activities Ega rice mill industry produce noise since they use heavy duty machines in the process of the production. One of the hazards identified while investigating was noise pollution which form the title of this project work. Various literature were consulted on this topic, the reviewed texts were relevant to the objectives of the study. The texts were arranged in accordance to American psychological association. Primary and secondary method of data collection were utilized by the researcher to determine the reliability of the investigation. The format include the use of observation, interview. The researcher carried out estimation, pretest, test and retest of those machineries to authenticate the reability and validity of the instruments, particularly which were analysed by using descriptive statistics like step by step student chi-square (X2) were used to analyzed the data. The researcher discovered that noise generated by rice mill has devastating effects on the health of man. Provision of personal protective devices (PPD’s) to all workers will avert the trend.
