The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of total debt to total equity, the ratio on the corporate performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The data used were mainly from secondary sources extracted from the annual reports and accounts of the 31 sampled firms for the period 2015-2020. The data were analyzed using least square multiple regression. The study found that total debt, long-term debt and short-term debt have a significant impact on the corporate performance of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria.
