In this study, empirical data on yearly admissions into Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, being an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria is extensively explored to reveal the existence of gender gaps in the tertiary institution admission process. This study was focused on assessing the admission process in Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara. In this study, the data needed were sourced from the polytechnic admission portal for the 2019/2020 session which was further analyzed using charts, odds ratio and the chi-square test of independence. The result revealed that students' admission is gender dependent as the result reveals female admission to have highly occurred.
