Abstract
The analysis and relevance of microcontroller-based fire alarm systems for detecting heat have become increasingly sophisticated and functionally more capable and reliable in recent years, conventional ionization, and photoelectric and spot-type heat detectors. An analysis of the National Fire Incident Reports was used to determine how much more efficient detection systems were at decreasing property damages, injuries and casualties. Heat detectors are used to monitor air temperature or to detect the rate of temperature change in a given area. These detectors are used more often found around bathrooms and kitchens. Heat detectors will not sense steam released into the air by boiling water or by smoking food. The detector will only be triggered if the detector reaches a set threshold or by rapid heating of the air....
