Abstract
Scarcity of land with good bearing capacity is one of the major problems the world faces now this leads to the construction of building on available land which may not be good with respect to its bearing capacity for the safety of buildings, it is necessary to improve the quality of soil ground by the adoption of some suitable ground improvement adopted depends on the soil to be treated and availability of materials required for improving the soil and also the cost-effectiveness. Effort of a geotechnical engineer is to develop technically variable and economically feasible methods to improve the properties of soil to suit the requirements of engineering structure. Sand& stone columns and considered as one of the well accepted as well as cost-effective ground improvement techniques for the stabilization of weak soil deposits. Nowadays sand is becoming a rare commodity. In order to tackle this situation, sand has been replaced by quarry dust. The objective of this research work is to analyze the stabilization of weak earth material with quarry dust....
