Abstract
The study examines the effect of personnel management on organizational performance in First bank Nigeria plc. The objectives of this study are to ascertain basic understanding of the impact of personnel management on organizational performance, to know how effective the personnel is functions to the well-being and performance of the workers in an organization. The target population is the management and staff of First Bank Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state. Both Primary and secondary data collection methods were used in the research work, the study adopt the simple random sampling technique while data was analyzed using the regression analysis. The data collated are presented in tables where necessary, percentage computation was used in order to reveal magnitude statistical technique used in testing the hypothesis was chi-square. The result from the findings of this study reveals that personnel management evaluation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of First bank Nigeria Plc, Market Road Branch, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. Hence, the study concluded that personnel management has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance, it was concluded and it was recommended that Nigerian banks seeking improved performance should enhance their Personnel management practices. Recommendations were made based on the findings on strategies that will improve the quality of performance of the bank....
