In the study, the research made use of descriptive design and use of questionnaires and personal interviews in the collection of the data. The population of the study is made up of 100 workers. The major finding of the study was the firm reviewed its production plan and budget on a quarterly basis so as to take into consideration the major season of the years. The analysis of variance by the production department during the production process helps the firm to discover areas of shortcoming in the production organization. It has been concluded that profitability and efficiency will be improved based on efficient production planning and control. It was recommended that management should ensure that through the purchasing department and production department, the production budget ensures minimization of cost so as to meet customer’s satisfaction and profit maximization.
