The aim of the study was to scrutinize the relevance of liquidity management in Nigerian commercial banks. There was a survey of the existing literature relevant to the work. The historical background of liquidity management and the significance of liquidity management were discussed. Analysis was made on the research findings and discussed. Thus, the factors affecting effective liquidity management in Nigerian commercial banks were successfully highlighted accordingly. The necessary recommendations were made on the ways of ameliorating various problems facing the maintenance of adequate liquidity.
