The objectives of this work were to determine and evaluate the causes of the crisis, to know the effect of the crisis on global and national economics, to know the effect on the Nigerian economy. A lot of problems was encountered while carrying out this research work which includes unsteady power supply, network problem, and banks inability to release their annual reports, bulletins and performance history, and so on. Many works of literature were used to investigate this research work, especially internet materials extracts. Primary and secondary methods of data collection was used in obtaining relevant information used in writing this project. Tabular presentation was used in the presentation of data, the percentage method was used in the analysis of data, while chi-square was used in the testing of the hypothesis and the result was interpreted based on the decision rules stated.
