It is important to note that it is practically impossible to produce a building that is maintenance-free. Therefore the importance of building condition survey and maintenance cannot be over-emphasized. A great number of public and private buildings do not give optimum comfort to users as a result of a lack of maintenance culture. This project looked into the general building condition survey and maintenance strategies and also the importance of building condition survey and maintenance strategies, various maintenance methods of building condition survey, as well as X-rayed strategies for improvement of building condition survey. Reconnaissance surveys and interviews were also employed. Data collected were statistically analyzed with the use of frequency distribution, mean distribution and the use of the student’s distribution which was also employed. The purpose of carrying out the research work on this topic is to educate society on the importance of building condition surveys and their maintenance strategy. The results obtained showed that building condition survey and maintenance strategies ensure that the functional requirement of the facility is attained at all times.
