Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the role of institution-based co-operative societies and maintenance of industrial harmony in a co-operative organization in Oil Adapalm Ohaji Egbema in Ohaji local government area Imo State. Questionnaires and interviews were used to procure the necessary data for this project. The research finding showed that institutions or Adapalm have a role to play in the productivity and maintenance of industrial harmony in cooperative societies. It was recommended that government should accord this of none motivational tools available of every co-operative in the state. The institution should be made more effective by providing them with necessary tools that will enable them to play effective roles in transforming cooperative societies in general. ...
