Abstract
This study established the relationship between transformational leadership styles and employee performance in the financial sector in Rivers State. the total population for the study consisted of 142 employees. The study adopted Quasi-experimental design, simple random sampling methods was used. A total of 105 copies of questionnaires were administered to the respondents, simple percentage and chi-square (x2) was used as a statistical tool to analyze the research question and hypotheses. The study reveals that there is a significant relationship between contingent reward and employee performance. The study concluded that management should ensure that transformational leadership styles are invariably supplemented with other leadership styles in the organizations in order to achieve significant effectiveness and growth. The study recommends that management should make concrete policies to enhance job satisfaction and rewards in order to achieve aggregate productivity....
