Planned change and employee performance in the public sector, Rivers state

This study examined the relationship between organizational planned change and employee performance of Dangote Cement in Rivers State. The total population for the study consisted of 200 employees. The study adopted Quasi-experimental design, simple random sampling methods were used. A total of 180 copies of questionnaires were administered to the respondents, simple percentage and chi-square (x2) was used as a statistical tool to analyze the research question and hypotheses. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between structural change and employee task performance. The study concluded that the technical and structural change approach try to improve organizational performance by changing the work situation. The study recommends that the management should develop and manufacture an effective structure which will encourage employee participation with their managers in making decisions....
