Abstract
Knowledge of soil parameters properties is essential for environmental sustainability for any forest reserve. The physical and chemical properties of soil in Arakanga Forest reserve were investigated, to evaluate the soil parameters of the study area to provide a digital surface of soil parameters for the study area, and to establish the accuracy of the created soil maps. Four compartments were identified in the forest reserve ten random points were located in each of the compartments where soil samples were collected for soil analysis in the laboratory Coordinate of the sampling points were taken with a hand-held G.P.S. Spatial geo-statistical technique in GIS with inverse distance weighting (IDW)  was used to analyze the data to create a digital surface of the soil parameters, and residuals of the digital surface were created and assessed using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value....
