In fact, the issue of funding medical libraries has been typical for virtually everyone engaged in education. Against the background of the state of funding, as it affected Federal Medical Center, Owerri was reviewed with the view of identifying problems encounter therein. For a mark of specificity, this research is divided into five chapters Chapter one examines the evolution of medical libraries in Nigeria the general objectives aims and purpose of the study, scope of study, assumption of the study and library under study. Chapter two deals with literature review Chapter there examines the methodology of the present research. Chapter four deals with the data collected from the questionnaire analyzed and discussed. Chapter five took care of the conclusion and recommendations for the improvement of the deplorable situation of funding of the library under study.
