The objectives of the study include identifying staff development programmes in federal university libraries. A method was designed for the project, the method which includes the research design, population of the study, sample size and sample techniques, instrument for data collection, the formal interview schedule, procedure for data collection and the method of data analysis. After the research, the findings were if the staff of the federal university of technology should be taken care of, they will discharge their services very well to the library users.
