It also informed the health officers on the possible differences between manual and electronic health information management in the study area. Among the objectives is to the computer literacy level of health records staff in Unilorin Teaching Hospital. Furthermore, examine the effectiveness of manual and electronic health records keeping in University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State and to identify the common problems staff have with electronic and manual health records keeping in the healthcare industry. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample 128 staff of University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 128 questionnaires were distributed out of which 87 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that for electronic health care system to be functional stable and consistent, electricity must be improved upon and its supply made stable and consistent, or alternative power supply should be provided e.g. solar energy system and inverter. And lastly, providers should see the need to pay attention to past experience, involve users in the planning and design of the system and build information cultures.
