Abstract
This research project focuses on the Importance of Human Resources Management in Developing the Health Care Sector" A Case study of Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa Bayelsa. It views Human Resources as an indispensable tool for efficient health care delivery and contends that its implementation will give rise to the effective utilization in the proper management of Federal medical centre Yenagoa. The research work started with the introduction of the topic which is an overview of the entire work, that is the relevance/impact of Human Resources Management in developing the health care sector. This portion of the research work also highlighted the statement of the research problems. It views the issue on ground which propels the study. It also covers the objectives of the study, its significance, the scope which is Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, the limitations as well as the definition of terms. The second chapter is a review of the topic. Some areas covered include the definition of Human Resources Management, Defining Human Resources in Health Care, Impact of Human Resources on Health Sector Reform, Human Resource Strategies for Health Care Development etc. Chapter three dwells on the research methodology. The instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire. Chapter four is a detailed analysis of data collected for the study using percentage analysis. Chapter five records the summary, conclusion and recommendations. Conclusively, it is worthy of note that this project reveals the importance of Human Resources Management in improving the overall patient health outcomes and delivery of health care services. Readers are therefore free to make their comments and/or contribute meaningfully where necessary....
