The scope of the study focuses on examining the impact of household waste on human health in Otefe-Oghara community of Delta State. Questionnaires were used to obtain the required data necessary for this study and the outcome were analyzed using simple percentage and bar charts. The study result shows that 70% of respondents consider the sanity condition of Otefe community as being poor, most people dispose of waste improperly because there is weak enforcement on sanitation in the community. It was also found that because of the poor practice of household waste disposal, there is an increased presence of houseflies, cockroaches and rat which suggest that the environment is dirty and this might increase the rate of disease contraction in the population.
