The analysis was done using Buys-Ballot procedure in time series analysis. The trend analysis using Minitab shows that the data are quadratic trend and there is a significant increase in the trend of road accidents from 2003-2007 having third quarter of 2006 as the“peak”. Deaths and injuries resulting from road accidents in recent times have continued to be a source of great concern to many in Imo state and Nigeria at large.
