However, this combination of its widespread use and constant exchange makes the note a likely agent for disease transmission. This study was carried out in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, to ascertain the fungi that are present on Nigerian currency notes. A total ten (10) sample of #5 to #1000 denominations of both five (5) paper and five (5) polymer, were separated on their physical appearance viz mint, clean and dirty. Each money was collected from traders, filling stations, commercial buses. The fungi of the various denomination of Nigerian currency notes does not differ significantly.
