The use of budgeting in university libraries, background and the state of budgeting, as it affects FUTO Owerri library are received with the aim of identifying the problems and the researcher used a sure method to get the opinion and attitudes of respondents and the method for data collection was questioning, which is said to be a list of questions designed by the researcher also the method of data analysis was simple frequency table and simple percentage, it is evident from the founding that proper budgeting in university/ academic libraries plays a vital role in making sure that the library activities and carried out effectively.
