It is very challenging to predict students'' academic performance because of the huge bulks of data stored in the environments of educational database. The classification algorithm called Naïve Bayes is employed on the dataset by using OCMS Lifetech as a tool. Results achieved show that Naïve Bayes can be used for predicting gender academic performance. The prediction model is useful to the lecturers and management of the faculties in identifying students with weak performance so that they will be able to take necessary actions to improve the student's academic performance.
