Abstract
The main problems encountered by most organizations are how to improve their workers'' performance. The study is to determine ways in which an organization can encourage their workers through training and improve their employee productivity and performance. The main research question is to find out that can training alone improves employee productivity in an organization. The methodology I used in collecting data is questionnaire which is completed by observation in analyzing data collected, tabulated and analyzed using percentage method. The finding of the research work shows that training to an extent influences productivity in order to improve their knowledge. It was recommended that the manpower training and development efforts of the other local government should also be studied on a comparative basis so as to determine the specific nature of deficits, in order to prepare grounds for optimizing the manpower training and development inputs into nation building at the regional levels. ...
