The fall in performance and productivity of the workers of the local governments' situations are roped on poor management, undue political interference, poor remunerations, lack of prompt promotion, nonpayment of staff entitlements and other fringe benefits due to the staff in the service and the delay in payment of staff salary. It is in light of the aforementioned scenario that the research was conducted to understand the impacts of motivation on workers' performance and productivity with particular reference to Dekina Local Government, Kogi State. Questionnaire was administered to gather information for data analysis and from the findings of the research, it was found that motivation has a great impact or effect on the employees' performance in Local Government Administrations.
