To carry out the research successfully, the researcher set the following objectives to identify the contributions of CBOs to rural development in Bali Local Government Area, and to proffer possible solutions to the challenges faced by CBOs in facilitating rural development in Bali Local Government Area. The theory researcher used was Social Capital Theory. To successfully carry out this research, three questions were formulated and structured questionnaires was designed based on the research questions. The survey design was adopted, the target population of the study was 211,024 respondents and 399 respondents were used as sample size. To find contributions and challenges of Community Based Organizations in Rural Development Area, case study of Bali Local Government, the researcher used primary and secondary data as it was only restricted to Bali Local Government Area. A sample of 399 respondents was selected using arithmetic sampling technique. The data collected was analyzed and presented in a tabular form for easy understanding.
