It informed the health officers on the understanding of healthcare providers on Health Management Information Systems in the hospital. Among the objectives was to identify the attitude of health workers towards the collection of healthcare information at the primary healthcare level and to examine the knowledge of health workers in data collection, compilation, analyses and reporting at the PHC level. Furthermore, it identifies the flow of data from the PHCs to the final user. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample staff of health care workers in Amuwo-odofin Local Government Area, Lagos state. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 200 questionnaires were distributed out of which 185 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that all health workers regardless of their discipline must be trained on how to use the HMIS tools and the importance of filling these tools correctly and timely must be identified, the government should employ more staff across all cadres to reduce the present shortage of health worker and increase in the workload which in turn is causing failure in the filling of registers completely and correctly.
