Abstract
Effective leadership style in healthcare organizations is critical in motivating the performance of healthcare givers most especially, Health Information Managers.  This study is to assess whether there exists a relationship between different leadership styles and how they motivate Health Information Managers'' performance. In this study, we adopt a survey questionnaire and employed evaluative descriptive analysis method. Analysis was based on Primary data generated through a planned leadership style questionnaire (LSQ) administered on participants or respondents. The result illustrates that there is a positive relationship between the leadership style that is operated in the hospital and the performance of health information managers. The study analyzes that the democratic form of leadership operated in the hospital was more suitable for inducing and enhancing the performance of HIM staff in the hospital. Democratic leadership style is recommended for the Health Care Organization/Hospital. Keywords: influence, managerial leadership style, information management performance, productivity. ...
