The study utilized four research objectives as well as four research questions. The study adopted descriptive surveying method: the instruments used were a structural questionnaire and an achievement test administered for the samples respectively. A total of seventy-two (72) questionnaires were distributed and all seventy-two questionnaires were returned successfully. The overall rate of returned questionnaires is considered one hundred (100%) percent. The demographic data of the respondents by sex 39 (54%) were male and 33(46%) were female. It means males constituted the highest percentage, followed by marital status 37(51%) were single, 33(46%) were married, 1(1%) were divorced, 1(1%) were widowed and 0(0%) were others. The study concluded that the staff are highly satisfied, especially with the health and safety policies in place. Besides, their performance is positively affected by promotion and compensation/pay, while lack of promotion negatively affected their performance, Lack of promotion is their major challenge as far as job satisfaction is concerned. The study recommended that the management of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital should compensate deserving workers as a way of motivating them to do more.
