Abstract
The study investigated the Influence of teacher-Student Relationships on PHE Academic Performance for Secondary School in Gwale local government area of Kano State. Three research Questions guided the study. The research design was a survey. The population of the study comprised all students in the study area. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Data collected was analyzed using simple table and percentage. The study found that the majority of the respondents (36.36%) believe that Positive interaction creates a peaceful environment that can influence the relationship between teacher-student on academic performance. The result of the analysis also showed that the majority of the respondents (43.94%) indicated that Positive relationship between the teacher and the student in efforts to gain trust and respect from each other. The result of this study also revealed that the majority of the respondents (36.36%) believed that Cordial student-teacher relationships enhanced interactions and promote mutual understanding between the teachers and students. Based on the findings, the study recommended that Mentorship should be encouraged in schools to foster and improve the relationship between teachers and students. Qualified and sound-minded teachers should be employed, so that the will be able, willing and disposed to develop, nurture and maintain good relationships between them and their students. Seminar or workshop should be organized at least once or twice in a year for teachers in order to enlighten them more on how to relate, communicate, associate and meets the needs of their students. Teachers should try and reinforce their students passively whenever they answer questions correctly or wrongly in the class. School management or school authority should check and monitor the teachers as the teacher in order to found out how they relate, communicate and associate with their students during teaching and learning activities.  ...
