A total of fifty (50) questionnaires were administered to the respondents and the data collected was analysed using simple percentage. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of the respondents 55% believed that the socio-economic status of parents affect the enrolment of chemistry student in the study area. The research also revealed that 60% indicated that peer groups have a positive and influence the student enrolment in the study area. The research work revealed that the majority of the respondents 80% indicated that religious factors have an influence on the student enrolment in chemistry education. The study also revealed that 46% believed that cultural factors affect student enrolment in the study area. Recommendations were also made for enhancing the factors responsible for the low enrolment of students in chemistry education in secondary schools education. Parents should be educated on the values of modern education to the girl-child and also take advantage of the UBE programme and educate their students. Awareness should be made to sensitize people on the fact that an end can only come to the poverty cycle through educating the girl-child. Thus, the unmerciful cycle of poverty continues.
