The broad objective of this study is to assess hotel's social responsibility to its host community. Specifically, the study sought to: examine the perceptions of hotel managers on the benefits of social responsibilities and ethics to host communities, examine what the community and organizations get out of social responsibilities and ethical behavior, and to examine how hotels benefit tangibly from engaging in social responsibilities policies, activities and ethical practices. The study is survey descriptive in nature and the target population is the entire population of employees of Hilcon Royal Hotel and Timafeek Hotel Lafia. The sample size for this study is one hundred (100), employees of the Duo hotels, which was determined using Taro Yamane sampling technique. The study adopted both primary and secondary methods of data collection. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire and the data collected from the employees were presented and analyzed using simple percentage method of data analysis. Findings from the study revealed that the hotels in Ombi 1 Community’s involvement in social responsibility practices is low. Findings from the study also revealed that corporate social responsibility practices affect the lives of the people in the environment positively as they enhance the development of the area. The study therefore recommends among others that the hotels should employ more logical methods of delivering their corporate social responsibility practices in Ombi 1 community, Lafia.
