Abstract
This project examines the role of the Civil Service Commission in Manpower development in Nigeria, a case study of Kogi State Civil Service Commission. This study shows how the civil service commission performs its role and objectives of Kogi State Civil Service Commission, type of training, design and evaluation of role as well as training programs and the importance of Civil Service Commission in manpower development. Primary and secondary data collections were used in this project work. The primary sources of data include sampling or study units from which information is to be collected on first-hand basis through interviews, observation or questionnaires and work of other authors, that relate to the study topic. Data were analyzed using statistical tools to a range of 0-100 and to convert information to absolute terms to real terms. Secondary sources of data were used to generate information relevant to the study. Like material, textbooks, internet, were used in study. The research recommended proper sourcing of employee’s frequent training, the establishment of staff welfare scheme and the evolution of employees’ performance and compensating them appropriately....
