This study was carried out on the prevalence of high blood pressure among literate adults between 35-60 years of age in Majaidu community, Kacha Local Government Area of Niger State. Descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out using multi-stage sampling technique to get two hundred (200) respondents that participated. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The research shows that more than half of the respondents 124 (64%) have had their blood pressure checked by a health professional. this study revealed that majority of the respondents 147(74%) are within the age limit of 30-60years years. A good number of the respondents 111(55%) think that high blood pressure can lead to stroke and about 145 respondents show that regular exercise can mitigate against high blood pressure.
