The study adopted a descriptive survey design in which three research questions were posed. The population of the study was 1354 while the sample size of 1354 was selected out of the total population of the health workers in the study area. Four-point scale questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. The instrument was adequately validated with its reliability established using test-retest. Data collected were analyzed using mean scores. Based on the data collected and carefully analyzed, the researcher made the following findings the mean and standard deviation of responses on the importance of records management practices to health workers. Based on the findings, this study revealed that health information management practice is highly important and it influences the effectiveness of service delivery at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Kwara State.
