The study adopted a descriptive survey design in which three research questions were posed. The population of the study was 150 while the sample size of 109 was selected randomly out of the total population of the health workers in the study area. Four point scale questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. The instrument was adequately validated with its reliability established using test-retest. Data collected were analyzed using mean score. Based on the data collected and carefully analyzed, the researcher made the following findings 59.1% strongly agreed that health information management is useful by virtue of their duty. 59.2% strongly agreed that accurate health record keeping is essential for medical and para-medical training. 51.2% strongly agreed that health records facilitate clinical research and allow quality healthcare. Based on the findings, the researcher recommendations that there should be a well-standardized health records department to improve healthcare service, that is, digitalization of health records (EHR) and the hospital management should employ more health professionals for the betterment of the job to enhance quality, optimal, wholesome and effective healthcare services to her patients/clients.
