A quantitative research approach was adopted, employing structured questionnaires to gather data from a sample of 316 employees of manufacturing firms operating in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings indicate that accounting systems significantly contribute to cost reduction, enhance the quality and accuracy of financial information, and strengthen internal control mechanisms, ultimately enhancing the overall performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The study concludes that accounting systems are not merely tools for financial record-keeping they are strategic assets that can significantly impact firm performance.
