Abstract
This research examines the impact of effective manpower training on corporate performance at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State (NAUTH). The study's population comprises 5,000 NAUTH staff members, with 370 staff surveyed from this population using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive survey methodology and quantitative analysis were utilized to collect and analyze the data respectively. The study found that 60.5% of respondents believe training is relevant for employee corporate performance at NAUTH. However, 51.1% also report that NAUTH management does not adequately organize training opportunities for staff. Additionally, 81.11% of respondents cite challenges associated with manpower training at the hospital. Based on these findings, recommendations for management include continuously recruiting and training qualified healthcare personnel to meet hospital needs and hiring additional male medical record staff to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. In summary, while the majority of NAUTH staff believe training improves performance, prevailing perspectives indicate suboptimal training programs and challenges that, if addressed, could enhance corporate results at the hospital....
